Fear is a powerful emotion. It whispers doubts, builds barriers, and convinces us that we’re not ready, not capable, or not worthy. But here’s the truth, fear is temporary. It fades the moment we take action. Regret, however, lingers far longer. The pain of "What if?" can haunt us for a lifetime.
Fear is natural, but it doesn’t have to control us.
God did not create us to live small, timid lives. He has placed a purpose
inside each of us, and it’s our responsibility to step into it with courage.
When fear arises, we can either let it hold us back or choose to push through,
knowing that God has already paved the way.
"For God has not given us a spirit of
fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." 2
Timothy 1:7
Regret is the quiet reminder of opportunities missed. It’s the dream we never pursued, the voice we never used, the leap of faith we never took. Looking back, we rarely regret trying, we regret not trying. Every moment we delay stepping into our purpose is a moment we can never get back.
God has given you unique gifts for a reason. He doesn’t call the equipped, He equips the called. If He’s placed a dream in your heart, He will provide everything you need to achieve it.
But you must take the first step.
- Acknowledge the fear, but don’t let it stop you. Fear is a sign you’re growing, not a signal to quit.
- Pray for guidance and strength.
God will light your path when you trust Him.
- Take action, even if it’s small.
Progress is made one step at a time.
- Surround yourself with faith-filled
people. Encouragement and accountability can make all the
difference.
"Trust in the Lord with all your
heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him,
and He will make your paths straight." Proverbs 3:5-6
What would your life look like if you stopped letting fear dictate your choices? Imagine the joy of knowing you gave your all, that you pursued your God given purpose with everything in you. That kind of life is waiting for you on the other side of fear.
Don’t let regret be your story. Step out in faith,
trust God’s plan, and move boldly toward your purpose. Fear is fleeting, but
the fulfillment of walking in your calling lasts forever.
